Essential Information
Location
Rio Negro Hot Springs are located in the Rincon de la Vieja area about 30 minutes outside of Liberia. There is a toll that you must pay of 800 colones per person (about $1.50) in cash only in order to enter the area where Rio Negro Hot Springs are located but if you have a reservation already you do not need to pay this toll.

Self Drive Tour: For self drive tours you will drive yourself to the tour location and then drive yourself back after the tour. This is best for people who have their own vehicle. If you are doing a combo tour having your own vehicle is a requirement and you cannot take a taxi because each activity is at a different location so you will need to drive from one location to the next.
Tour with Transportation Included: For tours with transportation you will be picked up where you are staying, be taken to the tour location and then dropped back off where you are staying after the tour concludes. If you do a combo tour with transportation included, you will be driven from one activity to the next.
