How to Book the Buena Visa Mega Combo Tour
We have both self-drive tours and tours with transportation available. Select the button for the corresponding tour of your choice.
Self-drive: For a self drive tour, you will drive yourself to the start of the tour. You do not need a 4 wheel drive vehicle for this option all of the roads are paved and easy to drive on.
Tour with Transportation Included: With transportation included, our driver will pick you up at your location, take you to the tour start, wait for you, and bring you back to your accommodation. We can also make a stop along the way for souvenirs or food during the ride.

How to Get to the Buena Vista Mega Combo Tour
The Buena Vista Mega Combo Tour is located in the Rincon de la Vieja area. After booking you will receive a Google Maps Link for how to arrive at the location in your confirmation email as well as photos to assist you in arriving in the most efficient way.

Tour Overview – Buena Vista Mega Combo Tour
Arrival – Parking and Facilities
Out side of reception is a private, safe and secure parking lot.
You can use any of the facilities to get ready for your tour and during your tour.

Checking In
You will then head over to reception to check in. All that you need to check in is your name, you do not need to bring anything else with you.
You will then sign the waiver and be introduced to your tour guide. Your tour guide will give you a quick briefing on what to expect for the day.
During the Buena Visa Mega Combo Tour
On your tour you will rotate through all of the activities, you can go at your own pace and do some of the activities such as the jungle waterslide as many times as you would like. Also if you would like to opt out of any activities you can and just move onto the next one.

Ziplining
This is one of the best ziplining courses in Costa Rica. It is one hour long and you go through 7 different lines that each vary in length and speed. Along the way you can look at the beautiful scenery and even see Rincon de la Vieja Volcano in the distance.
Before starting the course you will receive all the necessary equipment (helmet, harness and glove) and be given instructions on how to go down the zipline safely.
Hanging Bridges
To get over to the first zipline you will walk across the hanging bridges. There are multiple bridges to walk across and along the way it is very common to spot monkeys and other wildlife in the treetop canopies above.
Horseback Riding
On the horseback riding tour, you will go on a loop around the property of the Buena Vista Mega Combo Tour with your tour guide by your side the entire time. While on the trail you will also see Rincon de la Vieja Volcano as well as learn more about the area from your tour guide.
Jungle Waterslide
The highlight of the Buena Vista Mega Combo Tour for most people is the LONGEST JUNGLE WATERSLIDE IN COSTA RICA! This waterslide is 420 meters long and you will be able to choose the speed you would like to go down the slide. If you’re wanting an adrenaline filled experience you can send yourself flying through the jungle or you can pick a relaxing slide through the jungle to take in the beautiful scenery around, you.
Cultural Tour
You will also stop by the cultural center to learn more about the history of Costa Rica. Here you will learn about sugar cane, coffee and pottery.
Sugar Cane: At the Cultural Center you will begin by learning about sugar cane. Here you will learn how the sugar cane is turned into brown sugar and try jugo de cane. You will also learn about how the animals assist in this process.
Coffee and Pastries: Next, at the Buena Vista Mega Combo Tour they will teach you about coffee and how that is made in Costa Rica. After your short lesson you will try some of their coffee alongside tortillas, rosquillas, tanelas and queso.
Pottery: Lastly, you will stop at the artisanal workshop, here you will watch some pottery be made. You can also purchase pottery at this time as well.
Lunch
Lunch is included in this tour. You will receive a typical Costa Rican buffet style lunch. Along with lunch there is coffee, tea, juice, water and dessert available. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available surrounded by nature at the La Montaria Restaurant. It is buffet style so almost all diets are accommodated and there is something for everyone.

Salitral Waterfall
While on your tractor safari you can make a short detour to the Salitral Waterfall viewpoint. It is about a 15-minute walk to get to this viewpoint. It does include many stairs so you may want to skip this step if you have knee, ankle or mobility issues.
Tractor Safari
The tractor safari is a super convenient way to get to the hot springs. Everyone will hop abord and then be taken on about a 10-minute drive over to the hot springs. Along the way you can spot some different animals as well. Make sure to let the driver or your tour guide know if you are wanting to make the detour to Salitral Waterfall and they will stop along the way.
Hot Springs, Mud Bath and Steam Sauna
You will finish up your day at the hot springs. Here you will have access to a sauna, mud bath and several thermal pools.
Sauna: The first recommended stop is the steam sauna to prepare for the mud bath.
Mud Bath: Next is the volcanic mud bath. This mud has amazing benefits for your skin and comes straight from Rincon de la Vieja Volcano.
Thermal Pools: The last and final stop at the hot springs will be in the thermal pools. There are several different pools you can relax in for as long as you would like.
After the Buena Vista Mega Combo Tour
Once you are done, you will take the tractor safari back to the office. After returning to the office you can use the facilities to change before departing and heading to your next location.
